Carol Vorderman

  Carol Jean Vorderman MBE HonFIET was born on December 24, 1960. She is a British media personality who is famous for her appearances on Countdown for 26 years.



 



 Her career began in 1982, when she was a participant on the game show on Channel 4 called Countdown. From 1982 until Richard Whiteley's death in the year 2005 Vorderman appeared on the show with Des Lynam, Des O'Connor and Des O'Connor. She left the show in the year 2008. Vorderman began presenting other shows for various broadcasters, such as Better Homes and The Pride of Britain Awards for ITV. She also hosted guest shows such as Lorraine, The Sunday Night Project and Have I Got News for You. She is also the author of several books on detox diets.



 



 Vorderman was, from the year 2011 until 2014, a presenter on ITV's Loose Women.
